The movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will be playing at the Gay Street Theater on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. This time Indy’s quest is for the Holy Grail. Connery, in a beard and academic tweeds, gives a great comic performance as Indy’s self-satisfied, amazingly competitive old man.
Welfare League to elect officers
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will be electing officers for the term 1990-91 at a meeting on Aug. 7. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the usual meeting place of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department. All members are urged to attend. For more information call 987-8617.

Business Council to meet
The Sperryville Business Council will meet on Sunday, July 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Oldway Craft Village. All members are urged to attend and reminded that preceding the meeting a picnic will be held under the pavilion at Oldway.
Benefit yard sale
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company (CCVFD) will be having a yard sale on Aug. 25. The time and location will be announced soon. Anyone wishing to donate items for the sale can call 937-5614 or 937-6051. All donated items will be appreciated and the proceeds from the sale will go towards operating expenses of CCVFD.
