The Flint Hill annual firemen’s carnival will begin next week, starting on Wednesday, August 1 through Saturday, August 4. On Wednesday evening ride from 7-10 p.m. for one low price of $4. Hie parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and will be led by the newly crowned Miss Virginia Shannon DePuy of Amherst. Saturday evening will be the awarding of prizes including the grand prize, a. 1990 Ford.
Plan now to bring the family and eiyoy the games, rides, homemade goodies and more. And at the same time support your local firemen.
The annual picnic of the Flint Hill, Willis Chapel and Sperryville United Methodist Churches was held on Sunday at the 4-H Center in Harmony Hollow and was well attended.
The Flint Hill United Methodist Church will have worship service on Sunday, July 29 at 9 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Merlin Shorb will deliver the message and invites the public.
