• Insurers can’t refuse to cancel anyone's homeowners or auto policy solely because of age, sex, residence, race, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, marital status or lawful occupation, including military service.
• Insurers can’t limit the amount of coverage under a homeowners policy soley because of geographic location or age of the property.
• Insurers can’t cancel a homeowners policy if you are a foster parent and foster children live at your residence.
• Insurers can’t deny insurance just because you were previously refused insurance or canceled by another company. The company must have a solid reason for its refusal to insure.
• Insurers can’t refuse insurance because you were previously insured through an assigned risk plan or through a particular company. Again, there must be a solid reason for refusal.
• Insurers can’t cancel an auto
