“Right now I do not,” Mr. Hakel said. “The number of rangers stays the same. They don’t have much time in the boundary areas. Most of our activity is akrng Skyline Drive.”

• Approved Extension Agent Thomas Williams’s recommendation to declare a disaster in the county in this year’s fruit crop. Mr. Williams noted that with the tight money situation in the state, he did not anticipate that there would be much help available, but that there might be some low cost loans available to farmers. He said that the peach crop was totally lost this year, and that the apple crop was also much lower than normal becuase of cold weather. *
• Voted to readvertise the zoning amendments adopted last month. Mr. McCarthy said that the vote had been more than 21 days after the last advertisement. The amendments will have to be voted on again at the January meeting.
• Met C. Eldon Taylor, the new director of the Chapter X Community Services Board.
• Learned that the final cost for the jail addition, not including some kitchen equipment was $230,120.50, and that meals will be served from the new kitchen starting the first of January.
