Other1 groups of Virginia farmers — namelyupeanut and dairy farmers — saw their programs change little. Peanut farmers db not receive any direct monetary payments from the government, so their program was spared any budget cut, Mr. Pease explained
“The > only change is that there is now a 1 (percent service fee on the peanut program, and the object of that is to get farmer recipients to pay part of the cost of running the program,” he said.
Almost all programs will include a similar assessment, Mr. Pease noted.
