The message from the President General, read by Mrs. Randolph Dixon, celebrated Thanksgiving, a time of giving thanks for this country’s freedom, and to the DAR membership for service to our country.
Delegates and Alternates for both the Continental Congress, April 14-19, 1991 in Washington, D.C. and the VADAR state conference, March 15-17, 1991 in Norfolk were elected. As Regent, Mrs. Thomas Eastham will be a Delegate to both; Mrs. Edgar F. Puryear, Jr. will be Chapter Delegate for Continental Congress; Mrs. J. R. Kilby will be Delegate for the state conference. Four alternates for each event was also elected.
All were reminded of the DARSAR Christmas banquet at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper on Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $14 and reservations should be mailed to Mrs. Gutowski by Dec. 8.
The next regular meeting will be on Jan. 8, 1991 at the Culpeper United Methodist Church with the speaker being R. Adm. John L. Marocchi USN (ret).
