Two members of the Rappahannock
County Garden Club were judged winners in the recent flower show sponsored by the Front Royal Garden Club. Four Rappahannock ladies entered arrangements. Mrs. H.C. Sutherland of Sperryville, received a first place ribbon for her entry in the “Sugar and Spice" class while Mrs. Joseph Nordone placed third in the “Christmas Tree” category.
Wakefield Country Day School history students have completed a battlefield study in connection with the -Civil War which included tours to the battle sites. A series of trips, to Antietam in Sharpsburg, Md., Fredericksburg, Charlottesville and New Market was concluded by a weekend excursion to Gettysburg, Pa.

The Rappahannock County
Board of Supervisors, meeting on December 2, approved a proposal to assess a $15 building re-inspection fee. The fee, requested by County Building Official Emiel Smet, is designed to alleviate the expense of repeat visits to buildings which require inspection.
The Rappahannock School Board held its annual review of the school superintendent, Robert Estabrook, at its meeting Monday evening. It was decided that he will continue in this position for another four-year term.
