“God planned it that way,” Jenny said. “That year at JMU, the field hockey, ROTC, I learned a lot there. I probably needed that year before I went to West Point.”
Now that she’s there, Jenny isn’t finding the academic work very difficult yet. “Maybe it will be,” she says, but so far much of her classwoftk is a repeat of classes she took last year.
The physical conditioning isn’t that difficult either. She spent the summer at West Point in basic training, and “that was very, very hard,” she said. But now she only has to be able to pass a physical ( fitness test from time to time. “There’s so much activity, Pm getting plenty of exercise,” she said. She does sit ups and push ups daily.
