A 16-year-old Washington, Va. girl was charged with reckless driving after an accident on Route 643, one mile north of U.S. 211, at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 2, according to Sgt. G.A. Morris of the State Police.
The girl was operating a 1983 Subaru southbound on Route 643 when she lost control going around a curve, ran off the right side and hit a tree, said Sgt. Morris.
She was not injured in the accident, but the car sustained $2,000 in damages.
Trooper G.T. Settle charged her with reckless driving.
