Hampton District representative Mike Massie said, “Most of us on the board felt last year soccer would get some of the money.” The board approved his suggestion that since soccer lost out last year the money be divided evenly this year, and next year the leagues submit rosters of players who are county residents and funds would be divided according to the number of players in each sport. “Personally, I like football,” he added.
