Young people, ages 9-19, have a variety of ways to join 4-H.
In Rappahannock County, we have both project clubs and community clubs.
Community clubs meet in homes or public buildings and offer programs, leadership training, and conduct community service projects.
Project clubs are similar to community clubs except that they concentrate on one project.
September was organizational month for the 4-H clubs in Rappahannock County. They elected officers and set up their program schedule for 1991-92, which is:
4-H Teen Club meets the first Monday, 3:30 p.m., at the Extension Office. On Oct. 7, they elected officers and made plans for upcoming Skipjack Trip on Nov. 2. Janice Moffett is serving as club leader.
4-H Horse and Pony Club meets first and third Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m. at the home of Jennifer Alexander, 4-H Leader. The Horse and Pony Club is growing and feeling its oats—on Sept. 18 they had a demonstration by a local blacksmith on horseshoeing. One of the programs
