Chester Gap 4-H Club, the community club in Chester Gap, meets the second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the fire hall. On Oct. 9 they held an orientation for new members and elected officers. Call Maybelle Gilkey, 4-H Leader, at 635-5472, for information. The Chester Gap club is for all youths 9 and older. Their workshops this year will focus on foods and nutrition, home furnishings, community service projects and participating in the Presentation Contest.

Amissville 4-H Club meets the fourth Thursday at 7 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. On Oct. 24 they will have a program on Virginia apples and a workshop to make caramel apples. Jennifer Gray, 937-5902, and Linda Mallory, 937-5039, are club leaders. Their focus this year will be on foods and nutrition and recycling plus some guest speakers and a presentation contest.
