The Commissioner of the Revenue's Office now has applications for those who qualify for tax relief for the elderlys|nd handicapped. To make an applicatic^you need an appointment. Call for appointments between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 675-3513. Applications are due July 1.
Amissville carnival
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Company will hold its annual carnival June 24-27. Features will include a parade at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, crowning of the queen and court at 9 p.m. on Friday and the awarding of the grand prizes and numerous other prizes Saturday night. A midway complete with exciting rides and concessions, a food stand and drink booth and a variety of games and prizes round out the carnival atmosphere.
4th of July planned
Planning is now underway for the patriotic program to accompany the Fourth of July celebration in Washington. At this time, it includes patriotic readings, a singalong featuring American and patriotic songs, colonial dancing and a colonial sermon.
