Headmistress Pamela Lynn told parents and students assembled for Wakefield Country Day School’s graduation ceremony, “This year has been an incredible success.”
Mrs. Lynn said the reason her late husband started the school was “the pursuit of academic excellence ... I did not want the school to live on as a mockery of the school he started,” she added.
She said last summer a number of parents had urged her not to “let this vision die for their children. When you have a worthy goal, when something is worth saving, you must fight for it. This year has shown me that if the cause is worthy, there will be allies.”
