Books needed
The Rappahannock County Library is seeking book donations for its annual 4th of July book sale. Please bring donated books to the new library building any time during business hours prior to the 4th of July.
4-H sewing workshop
The Rappahannock Extension Office will conduct a 4-H beginners sewing workshop for youth ages 9-13 the week of June 29-July 2. It will meet 9-12 daily at the Extension Office. Lucy Oliver, 4-H leader, will be the instructor. Participants and a parent need to attend a preparation meeting from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, June 19 to get list of supplies for class. Horseshoe tournament
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will hold a horseshoe tournament beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, June 20 on the carnival grounds. For more information call 703-636-7936.
Mothering Co-op to meet
The Mothering Cooperative will meet today, June 18 at the Rappahannock Park, weather permitting. The pot luck lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m. there will be a round table discussion on the National Health Care crisis. They will meet at Trinity Episcopal Church if raining.
