Rappahannock senior Kelly Cunningham came in first in the Trig-Star competition sponsored by the Bull Run Chapter of the Virginia Association of Surveyors.
This was the first year for the competition. The math department act up a time and place for the two-hour test. Students in the advanced math and calculus classes took the test, which called for using trigonometry to solve practical problems of surveying.
