A resident of Front Royal, Rowe taught fourth and fifth grade at the county’s elementary school for five years before taking off last year to earn her master’s degree in administration and supervision from the University of Virginia and serve an administrative internship in Frederick County. She returned to Rappahannock for 1981-82 as a sixth grade teacher.
Rappahannock’s varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders have planned a car wash, the first in a series of fund raisers, for Saturday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rappahannock County High School. Charges will be $2 for a wash and $1 to have the interior vacuumed. Money that the cheerleaders raise will be used to send the varsity contingent to summer camp and to buy new uniforms for both squads. Other fund raising activities planned for the summer include a spaghetti dinner, bake sale and another car wash.
