Support group social

The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support group will meet and have a social from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 8 in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church on the comer of Gay and Middle Streets in Washington. 6 • Dn, uettr Patrick- President of the Virginia Head Injury Foundation will be the guest speaker for this meeting. Dr. Patrick has spoken with groups all over the state and will answer individuals questions. For directions, information, or transportation please call Pat Salmon 675-3137 after 6:30 p.m.

Yard and garden sale

The RCES PTO will hold a yard and garden sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 at the high school. Tables may be rented for $10 each.

Flowers and bulbs can be picked up and yard sale items may be donated to the PTO that morning or other arrangements mav be made by calling 675-3049.

Festival in Sperryville

The beauty of Spring in the Blue Ridge Mountains provides the inspiration for a Memorial Day ‘Sperryville Spring Festival* which will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 29 and 30 in the village of Sperryville.

The celebration features live entertainment and music, lots of food, vegetable* herb and flowering plants, special children’s activities, craft demonstrations, special antique sales and much more. The festival is sponsored by the Sperryville Business Council.

RCES PTO meeting

Dance planned at Amissyille

A dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be held at the fire hall from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 15. The band. Heavy Dreamer will be playing. For information call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
