The Rappahannock County Supervisors have published a tentative budget for the county for the fiscal year June 30, 1963 to June 30,1964. The grand total of the budget is $458,985.73.

Jamaica Shorts were on sale at Leggett of Culpeper for $1.25 each, men’s sports shirts were $1.75 and wash cloths were $ .05 each.

The R.C.H.S. senior play will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. They will present the play “Rest Assured.”

Peaches are going to be in

short supply this summer. The cold snap that drifted in two weeks ago, and then decided to linger for six consecutive below freezing nights did its damage. There was extreme variation from orchard to orchard in the amount of kill. Several growers lost their entire peach crop.

Cold weather conditions which dominated the western regions of the Commonwealth last weekend for the opening of gobbler season, resulted in a slow beginning for the hunters hardy enough to venture out.

The Virginia Gold Cup Races will be held Saturday, May 5.
