Noland, who ran the family business of Fauquier Laundry established in 1936, was a lifetime Warrenton resident.
He served on the board of the Jefferson Savings and Loan, Highland School and was a member of the Fauquier Board of Realtors.
A member of the Fauquier Leadership Conference Board, Noland served as a spokesman for community businesses and the horse industry.
He was part of the soul of the Virginia Gold Cup for 45 years and played a role in founding Great Meadow itself.
The epitome of the Virginia spirit of volunteerism, Noland served as paddock judge for most Virginia steeplechase meetings for many years, making the paddock dedication particularly meaningful.
