A year ago toward the end of May the local chapter of The American Heart Association courageously sponsored a first “Celebrity Waiter Dinner.” The experiment was such a big success, with the capacity crowd at the Washington VFD Hall thoroughly enjoying themselves, that they’re doing it again this year.

On Saturday, May 15th, local celebrities will have to eat an early dinner so they’ll be ready to serve their honored guests at assigned tables. The space is limited and so is the number of diners that can be accomodated. You are advised to reserve tickets soon by contacting one , of the waiters or waitresses. - These Celebrity Celebration for Heart dinners have proven to be one of The American Heart Association’s most popular fun-filled fun-raising events. Co-hostesses Ann Miller and Susan McCarthy have persuaded several of last year’s “Celebrities” to apply their experience expertise to serve dinner and “entertain” for tips

a^ain this year. You may be surprised at what some of them might try to do to solicit gratuities from you (all in a good cause, of course).

The heart-healthy menu includes appetizer and wine or punch before tne dinner which includes tossed salad, chicken asparagus rolls, Minnesota wild rice, a vegetable, roll, a variety of desserts and coffee. The celebrity service will be provided by Vinnie Carney, Tut Day, Karen Foster, Jenks Hobson, Doug McCabe, John McCarthy, Phillip and Merle Strange, Jimmy Swindler, Barbara Slater and Helen and Emerson Williams.

In addition to the healthy meal and unpredictable antics of the waiters, the program includes desirable door prizes, a witty emcee (held over
