RAA registration

RAA Babe Ruth registration and sign-up will be held for ages 1618 from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 at Stuart’s Field. For information call Billy Dodson at 937-4353 or Ron Dodson at 937-4606.

Quilt exhibit at Library

A quilt exhibit will be on display at the Rappahannock County Library for the entire month of May. Ms. D. Lee from Asheville, N.C. will have her unusual, original handmade mountain quilts on display. These quilts will be for sale. Please stop by and see the exhibit May 6 through the end of the month.

Opening Day ceremonies

RAA Opening Day ceremonies will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 1 at Stuart’s field in Amissville. All players should be in full uniform and at the field by 11:30 a.m. For information call Lydia Pentacost at 937-5975.

Library closed for inventory

The Rappahannock County Library will close for inventory for three days Monday, May 3 through Wednesday, May 5. The Rappahannock Library will reopen for business on Thursday, May 6 at 10 a.m. The book drop is located on the last door on the left.

May Day celebration

Spring Mountain Waldorf School in Washington will be hosting a May Day Festival on Saturday, May 1. Entertainment will include pony rides from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., face painting, group games and stories, nature walks and live music.

Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crafts and plants will be on sale all day. Admission and most of the activities are free. Everyone is welcome. To find Spring Mountain take U.S. 211 west to the second exit for Washington, turn right on Rt. 626. The school is on the right, just a few hundred feet from U.S. 211. 4-H day camp scheduled

4-H Day Camp has been scheduled for June 28 through July 2 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center. This camp is for children between the age's of 6 and 12, as of January 1, 1993.

Free voice coaching
