crossing rights-of-way. In addition to supplying cable TV along the main roads, it was reported that the company will supply cable service on petition when the density of households exceeeds 15 per mile.
Council member Ray Gooch said that he had some “loose ends” that thought the council should take care during this fiscal year. He thought that the council should give priority to the following items:
• Stub streets (short dead-end streets).
• New revenue sources.
• Move towrn records into town hall.
• Set policy for use the town hall. (“The building is under utilized at present,” he said.)
• Consider two year terms or staggered terms ‘for council member’.
Mr. Fisher said that he would like to get the council in the town hall by September. Because of the poor acoustics, the building needs a carpet or hall hangings. In addition, chairs are needed. After a short discussion the council voted to spend $1,500 to purchase 10 traditional Clore colonial-style chairs.
Mr. Fisher said it w»as necessary to get “all the records from past and present meetings” in one place, and get them bound and indexed. He favored hiring a contractor to go through them an extract “every available minute” from past meetings.
Council members agreed with Mr. Fisher that records were scattered among past and present council members, and that the records should be collected in a central location and indexed. Some asked if jail inmates or those serving community service could be utilized for the task,
