“We’re having lots of movies for kids this summer,” said Rick Kohler, who handles the Sunday movies at The Theatre, Washington.
“And we’ve got some big name stuff coming up,” he added, “including Aladdin on August 15.”
The movie this Sunday, July 25, is Leap of Faith, starring Steve Martin. Martin shows his serious side playing a jaded Bible Belt con artist evangelist who has to reconsider things when one of his fake miracles turns out to be real. The movie features “Steve Martin at his best in a brilliant blend of romance, comedy and music,” said one reviewer.
Tom Tumb comes to town August 1. This Academy Award winning children’s classic stars Russ Tamblyn as the tiny Tom Thumb. The film is directed by fantasy master Geroge Pal and features charming Puppetoon sequences.
