Summer Day Camp
Register now for the second session of the Summer Day Camp at Spring Mountain School. The camp will be held 9 a.m.-l p.m. MondayWednesday, July 26-August 27 for children ages 3 1/2-6. There will be no camp August 2,3 and 4.
Each week promises a rich and nurturing balance of indoor and outdoor experiences, including swimming, trips to parks and playgrounds, hiking, crafts and creative play all with an experienced teacher.
The tuition, $150 for the four week program covers all expenses for materials, transportation and admission to parks and swimming facilities.

Clean-up Day
The newly orgainzed Men’s Fellowship of the First Baptist Church in Washington is sponsoring a Clean-up Day at the church in preparation for homecoming at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 24. Men of the church and community are invited to participate. Lunch will be served. For more information please contact 987-8339.

Basketball Auction
A benefit auction will be held Friday, July 23 at the Amissville Fire Department. The auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a preview of iteips beginning at 6 p.m.. All proceeds will directly benefit about 40 area boys and girls who plan to attend summer basketball team camps. The auction will be called by Bill Payne and refreshments will be served. The auction will conclude with a $1,000 raffle drawing.
Opening Reception
The public is invited to the opening reception of Middle Street Gallery’s Wood Show from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 31. The show is an exhibit of artisans throughout the nation working in wood. There is no admission charge to the opening, which will be followed by a slide/lecture presented by Lee Ellen Griffithm juror and Director of Monmouth County Historic Association of Freehold, N.J. The slide/lecture is $5. The Wood show runs through Aug. 29. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
