The group of teachers will get to see first hand how AT&T applies the Total Quality Approach to its research and development teams. Mr. Patterson said that aspect was one that particularly interested him. The Rappahannock schools have adopted a Total Quality Management approach to school management. “I have some questions about how that works here,” he said. “I will be interested in seeing it from a different perspective.”
Each teacher will work on a project to bring ideas from the institute back to his classroom. Mr. Patterson said he is not sure what project he will work on. During the fall semester each teacher’s classroom will be linked on AT&T’s Learning Network with classrooms around the world.
Mr. Patterson said he is interested in learning about AT&T’s new communication technology.
