This Week

The Bluemont Concert Series continued this weekend with shows in Warrenton, Culpeper and Luray.

The Warren Green Concert in Warrenton features a taste of the Caribbean with the Pan Masters Steel Orchestra at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 24. The group, beats out the rhythms of Trinidad and Tobago on an exsemble of ten 55 gallon oil drums.

In Luray the Johnson Mountain Boys, one of the country’s premier bluegrass groups plays old-time country music. The quintet performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Inn Lawn Park.

Classic western entertainment comes to Culpeper at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 25 on the lawn of the old County Courthouse. Liz Masterson and Sean Blackburn combine oldtime western music with comedy, yodeling, cowboy lore and rope tricks.

The requested admission for each concert is $3 per person. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
