After rehearsals they have stagecraft taught by Kathleen Gallivan. Earlier this week they were making masks for the play. Later they will build the set and learn about lighting.
Each of the young actors made at least two masks, and many of them will play several roles. James Stone will be Boxer, a horse, and Eliza Coon will be Clover, another horse. Van DeBergh plays Benjamin, a donkey. Jessica Haase plays Molly, a horse, and later a sheep. But Amy Hathaway will be a farmer, a dog and a chicken. Amelia Manson will be a man, a pig, a puppy and a hen, and Mia Grisham will be a puppy, a sheep, a pig and a hen.
