Students To Learn the Law By SHARON KILPATRICK Rappahannock New* Staff Writer . Following a fairly long executive session the remaining four members of the School Board unanimously selected Rosa Crocker to fill an interim term as Wakefield District's representative on the board. She replaces Paul Nichols, who died last month. The interim appointment is only until next November when a special election will be held along with the general election to fill the remainder of the term through December of 1999. The board considered four candidates. Besides Ms. Crocker they were Ellen Manson, who ran unsuccessfully for the seat in 1995, Roger Welch, who ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the Board of Supervisors in 1995, and Mr. Nichols's widow Charlotte Nichols. All had nominated themselves by filling out an application at the School Board office. All spoke for themselves at the meeting. See Schools, Page A-8
