A small but enthusiastic group signed up for the first free pastry class at Thistle Hill. Classes were provided for a minimum of two and maximum of six participants. Given their commitment, an additional project was started with completion planned for the second week. The class brought home recipes and samples of garlic bread and sour cream coffee cake.

Charles Wilson demonstrated pasta making, and the group enjoyed the outcome for lunch. The coffee cake provided refreshment at coffee break.

The group also participated in the demonstration and preparation of a genoise and joconde for the base and sides of a Strawberry Charlotte. Armed with recipes the participants will each prepare their own genoise and joconde to bring to the next week class. Then the rest of the charlotte
