In the lighter weight categories the students will have to wrestle each other to determine who represents the team in a mateh. If the both schools have more than one wrestler in a particular weight category, there may be exhibition matches before the start of the real match.
Each match consists of two three minute periods. Coach Paratore said wrestlers have to be in top physical condition to wrestle intensely for that period of time.
If the team is competitive as a JV sport this year, the coaches arc hoping to offer wrestling as a varsity sport next year.
"I'm really proud of what they've done so far. By the end of the season, maybe they will be wrestlers," Coach Paratore said.
