Walk-in Clinic Planned

There will be a Walk-in Clinic at the Rappahannock County Health Department on Nov. 18 at 8:30-11 a.m.

Hunter's Breakfast Buffet

You are invited to enjoy a warm, hearty breakfast to benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department with a donation of $7 for adults/$3 for children. You will have your choice of made-to-order eggs or omelets, pancakes, homefries, grits, homemade applesauce, bacon, sausage, toast, juice and coffee. "Please join us on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Washington Fire Hall," said an organizer.

Alumni Tournament Planned

The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Department will sponsor the 8th Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament on Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Any male who has graduated from Rappahannock County High School and is interested in playing the alumni tournament should call Kelly Settle at 987-8575 by Friday, Nov. 15.

"We will need four male coaches and two female coaches as well as approximately 50-60 male players and 20-30 female players. When calling to register please give graduation year and let us know if you are interested in being a coach," said Mrs. Settle.

Registration fee will be $10 which will include a t-shirt or tank top. Fees are due by Friday, Nov. 15.

"This is always a fun event and a great way to show your support of the R.C.H.S. Athletic Department. We hope you will join us for a weekend of fun and excitement as "The Panthers of the Past" put on a great show," concluded Mrs. Settle.

Health Programs Set

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center:

Blood Pressure Checks by Melinda Beach of the Health Department at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 15; Program on Hospice at work in Your Community By Judy Larkin at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 and Program on Epidemiology of Rural Water Supplies by Allison Lowery, Environmentalist at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 20.

Benefit Dance Scheduled

The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Laredo will be the group performing. Proper dress code required (shirts must have collars) and you must be 21 years of age to attend.
