On Oct. 22 Herbert Reynolds, Forester with Virginia Division of Forestry, conducted a tree identification lesson for the 4-H Junior Garden Club. They used the nature trail along the Rush River at the Rappahannock County Park as their outdoor classroom that day. In November they will be making a leaf collection under the leadership of Carolyn Emerick, their 4-H leaders.
The 4-H Wildife/Birding Club went to Rockfish Gap on Oct. 13 to watch the hawks. In November they plan to go to the National Geographic Building to see the exhibit on endangered species of birds. Call Sue Benner at 987-7206 if you want to go for exact date and time.
