David Massie, 13, and Jessie Palmer,8. are competing in this year’s C-M-R 4-H Farm Show.
Jessie is entering seven projects. His favorites are a model car and a story about a battle between a prince and an evil warlord. David is showing two steer, a heifer and a hog.
Despite the vast difference in their projects they both admit they invest a large amount of time to them. Jessie works all year on his projects and David beins in January continuing to work until the State Fair. „ Why are they in farm 3hows? “Because I like to!” Jessie explained. David said “I live on a farm and I have experience with anima;s. I’m wound animals all the time, it’s fim.”
It also teaches many valuable lessons. Jessie said “I lave learned how to make things and I got to go to camp.”
“It teaches you how to hanile responsibility. It teaches rou about bill paying and takng care of your animals,” David said, adding that he is jetting experience which he lopes to turn into a career.
