The seventh annual Dwyer family reunion will be held on Saturday, July 19 at the Fire Hall in Washington beginning, at 10 a.m. and running until 4 p.m. All attending are asked to bring a dish and drink to share.

Fund-raiser rescheduled

The annual meeting and fund-raiser of the Rappahannock County Historical Society has been rescheduled from Aug. 8 to Saturday, Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the home of the society’s president Doug Baumgardner.

Farm show scheduled

The Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock Farm Show is July 25-28 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on Route 29 south of Culpeper. Farm Show catalogs are at the Rappahannock County Extension Office. Please stop by and pick one up.

Event at Healing Arts Center

On July 16 — Creating Partnerships In Health will be the topic at the center. An educated “patient” becomes a healthcare partner. With a sound knowledge base, and access to information concerning treatment options, we can play a greater role in making informed healthcare decisions. Lanise Waites, RN, will discuss the shift from “patient” to “partner” and how to begin the practice of sensible health-care consumerism — vital for the new millienium. The event will be held at 7 p.m. and there is a $5 fee.

Aileen reunion scheduled

Aileen reunion to be held July 19 at 12 p.m. at the Flint Hill Carnival grounds. All former employees and family are welcome. Bring a covered dish and drink to share. For information call Joyce at 987-8091.

Physicals at high school

Virginia High School Physicals will be given on Aug. 6. The physicals will being at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. Any Rappahannock County High School student planning on participating during the 1997-98 sports season should get a physical.
