Richard Walters, 23, of Amissville was charged with reckless driving on July 6 when he lost control of his vehicle on Route 640. He hit gravel in the road, ran off the left side, over corrected to the right, hit an embankment and overturned, luckily he was not injured. The damage to his 1985 Jeep was estimated at $1,500, according to Trooper C.A. Moore.
Trooper WA. Sumner reported an accident on Route 211, July 11, in which a deer jumped out in front of a vehicle. Larry Simmons, 39, was headed west on Route 211 when the deer jumped. He ran off the road to the side and his 1997 Dodge two-door sustained $1,500 in damage. He was not injured and not charged.
