By Jan LaValley Rappahannock News Staff Writer * The meeting last week of the town’s Architectural Review Board was brief but productive.
The board had three cases before them and heard the application from Ray Gooch of Washington first.
Mr. Gooch re-submitted a previous application for remodeling of the front porch of his cabin located at one end of Gay Street.
“This is really an amend-. ment to a previous application and design approved by you, but I was concerned about the pitch of the roof (on the porch) and maintaining the authenticity of materials,” he said.
He submitted drawings of the proposed porch and the board found no problem with his application. He had also consulted Jay Monroe about his design.
He said he hopes the porch will be done this summer. He also added a railing to the design as he has researched the structure
