Rappahannock Monarchs went heads up with Strasburg Rams on Sunday. Despite the heat, Rappahannock came out to play for one reason, and that was to win.
Luther Alexander started on the mound for the Monarchs. With his arsenal of pitches, he went seven innings, gave up six hits, two runs, and struck out seven batters.
After three innings, the score was tied 1-1, Rappahannock allowed one run for Strasburg in the fourth, then realized that their defense was there but had to find the offense, to take the win home.
