In her talk, Ms. Van Wagoner confirmed that approach, noting that the residents of Middleburg, Aldie, and Upperville, worked on long linear maps of their villages, writing on the maps their own traffic calming ideas, and planning on how they wanted their village to look over the next 50 to 100 years. She had brought these original maps and they were unrolled on long tables set end-too-end in the Fire Hall so people could view them. She also brought material that the Route 50 Corridor Coalition used to get their project underway and carry it through.
Ms. Van Wagoner answered 18 previously submitted questions from the Flint Hill traffic calming group and RLEP. She also responded to many questions from those attending.
