COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is soliciting applicants to fill the volunteer position of Rappahannock Citizen Representative to the RappahannockRapidan Disability Services Board. The Board assesses local service needs and advises appropriate state and local agencies of their findings, services persons with physical and sensory disabilities , updates a six-year report of local service needs and priorities, develops requests to the rehabilitative services incentive fund when local funding for match is available and other functions serving persons with disabilities.
The appointee must be a resident of Rappahannock County and must either have or be a family member of someone who has a physical, visual or hearing disability. Typically, meetings of the Board take place no more than 3-4 times annually, and are held in Culpeper.
