The proposal for the
establishment of a
Wilderness Area in Shenandoah National Park was a primary topic at the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors meeting held Friday at the courthouse.
Mrs. J. Maurice O’Bannon of Woodville has recently resigned her position as medical and surgical nursing supervisor and member of the nursing staff of Culpeper Memorial Hospital, a position she has held since the hospital opened in March, 1960.
The public is cordially invited to come to the Sperryville Elementary School on Friday, July 14, between 10 a.m. and noon to see the Summer Pre-School Readiness Program, and the Correctional Reading Program for Grades 1-7, in operation.
A group of Boy Scouts of Amissville Troop No. 50 were in Washington, D.C. last Wednesday on a sightseeing tour.
