The application was in two parts. The first for a temporary school which would have a limit of 30 students and a permanent school which would have limit of 45 students.
The Planning Commission approved the application with stipulations that it meet all state and local standards and codes, that additional exterior screening be added for the parking area of the permanent location and that all exterior lighting is down shielded. They will also require 24 month review for the temporary location. The board approved the application amidst applause from the audience.
The board also approved the application by Mabel and John Pendleton of Flint Hill to rezone their lot on Route 729 from agricultural to residential.
The Planning Commission had approved this application saying it was in keeping with the comprehensive plan since the property was in the village area of Flint Hill.
The Belle Meade School and Country Inn application was tabled until a later meeting since the Planning Commission has not yet heard that application.
