Ethel Lillard, of Flint Hill, a. woman who has done so much with so little for so long, finds it hard to believe now that help finally found its way to her doorstep.
She was a happy child, she sqid, until the age of 12 when her life was turned upside down by the death of her mother. It was the start of a life of struggle for Ethel.
She grew up and met Jack Lillard. They were married Jan. 28, 1950. Her father-inlefw, Wilbert Lillard, gave Ethel and Jack three quarters of an acre of land and helped them build- a small home in Flint Hill.
