Veterans Medical Center in Jamaica Plains, Boston, Mass., from injures suffered in an automobile accident on July 9.
He was born in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 10, 1927 and was the son of John and Emma Rosson Hixson.
Mr. Hixson lived in Culpeper, and was a resident of Haverhill, Massachusetts for the last 45 years.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Navy.
He was a member of St. George Roman Catholic Church, the Victor Emmanual Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy, Lorraine Post 24, Veterans of Foreign Wars the AmVets and the Liberty Club.
He was retired from Malden Mills in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
He was the husband of the late Jeanette Tarzia Hixson and is survived by three sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Powers of Boston, Mrs. Emma Lou Payne of Culpeper and Mrs. Rosalie Baker of Barboursville, and several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, July 31, from St. George Church with interment in Linwood Cemetery in Haverhill.
