Because the following is
pure humor I want to share it with my many friends, who, of course, read the Rappahannock News.
It is an editorial from the Chicago Daily Calumet 1962, of which my husband was part owner. It just surfaceed when we were moving office files.
“A man with a sewing machine to sell placed a classified advertisement in the newspaper. The ad came out the next day as follows:
Monday: ‘FOR SALE: R.D. Smith has one sewing machine for sale. Phone 958. Call after 7 p.m. and ask for Mrs. Kelly who lives with him cheap.’
