He was born April 2, 1923.

He was a carpenter and pastor of the Sylvannah Baptist Church in Rippon, W.Va.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Rebecca P. Grant of Marshall; two sons Richard T. Grant of Woodbridge and Daniel L. Grant of Centreville; one daughter Linda G. Moore of Arlington.

He is also survived by two brothers Charles Grant Jr. of Rectortown and William Grant of Marshall; one sister Fannie Grant of Falls Church; his mother-in-law Mary E. Page of Marshall and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Aug. 1 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Rectortown.

Burial followed in the Solon Cemetery in Middleburg.

Joynes Funeral Home in Warrenton was in charge of the arrangements.
