," Hie Rappahannock Jaycees 1 Chapter and the Rappahannock Lions Club will each pay a portion of the costs of two flashing lights ..to be placed near the entrances to , Rappahannock County High School. Local Board No. 102, announced today that due to a change in the law, which became effective on July 1, 1967 undergraduate students who desire deferments in Class II-S must make a written request for such deferment. Joseph Gordon Payne, son of Mrs. Gordon Payne of Madison, was awarded a doctorate in mechanibal engineering from Purdue , University, Lafayette, Ind. in July. A $4500 grant to Rappahannock > County to finance the develop‘ ment of a comprehensive plan for water and sewage has been I approved by the Farmers Home Administration, reports E.C. Compton, the agency’s state director.
