Homecoming at nope Hill

Hope Hill Baptist Church near Castleton will have their annual homecoming Sunday, Aug. 10. The “Mondays” will be the special guests. Services will be at 10 and 11 a.m., followed by a covered dish dinner. The “Mondays” will close the day with a special program at 2 p.m. Pastor Milton Switzer invites all members and friends to attend.

Bible school at Sperryville

The Sperryville United Methodist Church will hold their vacation bible school Aug. 11-14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sperryville United Methodist Church. On Friday, Aug. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. a special missionary program followed by a covered dish dinner will be held at the Sperryville Fire Hall. The theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School is “Whatever You Did For One of the Least of These Brothers of Mine, You Did For Me.” All area youth and their families and friends are invited to come eryoy a fun filled week of stories, music, snacks, games and crafts.

Macedonia Baptist activites

Vacation Bible School will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church Aug. 11-15 from 6 to 8 each evening. The theme will be Promise Builders for Jesus. All are welcome.

A concert will be held at Macedonia on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. The guests will be Williams Chapel Choir from Front Royal and the program will benefit the Sunday School. Kesley Russell is the sponsor for the event.

Homecoming; revival set

The Slate Mills Baptist Church will be observing Homecoming and revival beginning on Sunday, Aug. 10 and continue through Friday, Aug. 15. Sunday morning worship begins at 11 o’clock with the pastor preaching. Dinner will be furnished following the service.

The afternoon service will feature “The Expressions” in a spiritual musical concert with testimonies. There will be no evening worship service. Special music at each service. The pastor cordially invites the public to share in every service.
