Campers attended classes in the morning, ranging from canoeing to ' outpost camping. The first photojournalism class created one of the best camp newspapers ever printed according to the permanent staff. Evening activities include Indian Night/Carnival, a dance, ' and the beauty contest.
The campfires are the highlight of camp. At the last campfire of the week, ‘ luminaries, formed in three circles, lit the hill behind ' Lake Culpeper as a symbol of the three counties newly made friendships since this was the first year all three counties camped together. I
