Imagine, if you will. Mother and Father and an assortment of siblings piling into this shiny new motorcar on a Sunday afternoon. Picnic hamper and Grandpa and Grandma in tow. they hungrily headed for a grassy slope or the velvet moss of a riverbank. The day was set aside for togetherness.
Today, cars are smaller and more numerous. There is one for Mother, one for Father, and if the children are old enough to drive there may be more...each heading in different directions. Togetherness is less frequent in the family of today. Is there a time when the family can head in the same direction?
Yes, each week we can set aside time to attend our chosen house of worship as a family. This relatively short time can carry us through a week of daily separations to unite the family through the love of God. Life is not a ride in the country for the family of today. At least let God pave the way.
